Fearzine Leadership

Dan Morris, Owner, Editor-in-Chief, Layout Designer

Dan has loved Godzilla and horror games for as long as he can remember. After trying to do “normal” stuff for a living, Dan now does what he loves, talking about and sharing games he’s played. Dan has written for various outlets like Couch Soup, Reload Magazine, and of course Fearzine. In addition to writing, Dan has hosted gaming podcasts, streams, and developed YouTube videos.

Originally from New York, now residing in Texas, Dan spends his free time attempting to chip away at his backlog, but mostly replaying RE games for the umpteenth time.

Maria Kinnun, Design Consultant, Graphic Artist

Maria is a head staff of Fearzine and a writer for Reload Magazine. She is an artist and made the cover art for Reload, Issue 2, among other projects. She is a movie lover, gamer, and avid comic con-goer with an unhealthy obsession with serial killers, horror, and death. She loves anything gory and disturbing and writing about it. She boosts that horror games and movies don’t scare her and is always up for the challenge to find one that does! Watching Nightmare on Elm Street at 4 years old didn’t affect her in any way… clearly.

Originally from the UK, she was imported as exotic goods and now resides in Tennessee.

Favorite Horror Games: Too many but notables include the Silent Hill series, The Suffering, and really anything dark and twisted!

  • El Joe

I’m El Joe a Puerto Rican survival horror content creator, writer, and host behind La Bóveda de Joe and La Autopsia. My work is all about breaking down the psychology, history, and cultural impact of survival horror, while La Bóveda Podcast lets me connect directly with developers who are shaping the genre today.

I’m also the founder of TheSurvivalHorror.com, a living archive documenting survival horror and its precursors from 1981 to 2026 and still growing.

My all-time favorite games are Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill 2, and Tormented Souls, and I’m also a big fan of the Diablo franchise. Those titles define what I love most about gaming: atmosphere, psychological weight, and immersive worlds that stay with you long after you put the controller down.

For me, survival horror isn’t just something I play it’s something I study, live, and represent. It’s a language of fear, and I’m here to break it down.
